School task - to redesign anything we find not appealing.
I chose the restaurant “Vairāk Saules” because it has been my favourite cafe/restaurant since childhood, but only recently, I noticed how outdated their logo and mobile application is, so i decided this was the perfect candidate for my redesign project.
There are too many small details in the logo, so it is not fully readable from almost any distance.
The gradient in the name “Saules” is very outdated and doesn’t look ‘‘fresh’’.
The mobile app is also “interesting” because there is no real design, just huge pictures with dishes and a basket.
I simplified the logo using geometric shapes and the brand colours. For the app I chose very similar approach, I added - food menu, search bar and everything that needed to be there in the first place in the old version.
